Saturday October 28, 2017 is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day and from 10 am – 2pm Pulaski County will have several Take-Back locations for the convenience of all those wishing to properly dispose of these prescriptions. Last year, Virginia collected 22,855 pounds of prescription medications through this program with over 200 collections sites offered by state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the commonwealth. This year the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office will be set up at the Walmart in Fairlawn, Dublin Police Department will be set up at the CVS in Dublin and the Pulaski Police Department will be set up at Food City. All locations will be manned by law enforcement personnel only and this is a “No Questions Asked” program. Please take the time to utilize these sites to get rid of all unwanted/unneeded medications so they do not get into the wrong hands. If you need additional information please feel free to contact Captain Daniel Johnson at the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Investigator Wayne David at the Dublin Police Department or Officer Megan Jennings at the Pulaski Police Department.
