Teresa Harless named new Coordinator of Human Resources for Pulaski County Public Schools
Pulaski County Public Schools would like to announce the hiring of Ms. Teresa Harless as the new Coordinator of Human Resources. She was approved by the School Board at their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 11, 2017.
Ms. Harless was previously employed by the Town of Blacksburg where she served as Human Resources Generalist for 16 years. She has extensive experience in human resources administration including the areas of benefits, compensation, wellness initiatives, and HR laws and procedures. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Human Resources Minor from Regent University. She is also a Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-CP).
Ms. Harless stated “I am very excited at the opportunity to serve Pulaski County Public Schools system and to lead the Human Resources Department. I am honored to be a part of such a great organization and look forward to using both my knowledge and experience to provide Human Resources support.”
“Ms. Harless has an extensive background in the area of Human Resources and we are confident that she will lead our efforts to attract and retain highly qualified teachers and staff for Pulaski County.” said Chris Stafford, Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Business Operations.
Ms. Harless is replacing Dr. Shirley Perry, who was recently hired to be the new Superintendent of Schools in Carroll County. Her first official day as Coordinator of Human Resources was Wednesday, August 2, 2017.
