Jackson still a Hokie

Virginia Tech quarterback Josh Jackson is still with the team.

According to a variety of media sources today, an academic issue that left his status with the team up in the air has been resolved.

The redshirt sophomore started 13 games for the Hokies last fall passing for 2,991 yards with 26 total touchdowns and 9 interceptions, leading the team to a 9-4 record in Justin Fuente’s second season as the head coach. As a redshirt freshman, Jackson led all freshman Power-5 conference quarterbacks in passing yards in 2017.

Virginia Tech is expected to make an official announcement on the situation later today.
