Bobby Gene Hall, 80, formerly of Pulaski, passed away October 16, 2017 at his home in Midlothian, VA. Bobby was born July 9, 1937 to the late Raymond Clinton and Edith Holiday Hall. He is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Clarence Robert Hall, his brother Ralph Clinton Hall, his brother-in-law, Warren (Mitch) Mitchell and his niece, Heather Michelle Edens. Bobby attended Pulaski High School, and graduated from New River Community College with a degree in Police Science. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked many years as a Deputy Sheriff at Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, was the first recipient of the Alton I. Crowell Memorial Award for Outstanding Young Police Officer, and after retirement worked as a Chief Inspector for the Virginia Department of Transportation. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Hall of Midlothian, his daughter Autumn (Sunni) Hall Price (Roger), Midlothian, sister Ellen Hall Mitchell, Draper, brother, Ken Hall (Barbara), Christiansburg, sister-in-law, Hilda Hall, Columbia, SC, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his constant furbaby companion, Tawncy. Bobby’s true joy in life was being with his wife, Linda, and the pride and joy of his life, Sunni. He loved family dinners, being together with his family and playing horseshoes. He loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He will be sadly missed by his family and everyone who knew him. The family would like to thank Hospice, and all of the Dr.’s and nurses who assisted with his care. Bobby was cremated and there will be no services.
