Obituary for Daniel Amos Rakes

Daniel Amos Rakes, 91, of Pulaski, passed away July 4^th 2018 at his home. Born Sept. 19, 1926 he was the son of the late Daniel Grover and Hinda Cannaday Rakes. Dan was a member of Wesley Memorial Chapel and a retired Letter Carrier with the US Postal Service.

Surviving is his Son; Danny Rakes of Evergreen, Colorado.

Funeral services will be held Monday evening July 9th at 7pm from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Teresa Tolbert officiating. The Family will receive friends from 6pm till the service hour. Burial will be Tuesday morning at 11am from the Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, VA.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Pulaski Daily Bread, c/o First Presbyterian Church, N. Jefferson Avenue, Pulaski.
