Jerry W. Patrick , age 70, of Pulaski earned his wings on June 25th 2017, and ascended to Heaven peacefully inside his home with his family by his side. Jerry reunited with friends and family which once seemed lost. Born in May of 1947 in Pulaski, Son of Richmond and Catherine Patrick. Jerry is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery “Bubba” Patrick. Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Beverly Patrick, his daughter and son in law: Deborah and Phillip Linkous: his sister and brother in law: Vickey and Dennis Shoemaker, their children David and Chrissy Shoemaker and Emily and John Causey, who both have children of their own, his aunt Judy, and special cousins Hetty and Bill Fowlkes. Also left behind are his 4 grandchildren, Ryan Patrick Baxter, Casey Scott Linkous, Brady Patrick Linkous, and Kayla Jean Linkous. Jerry attended Dublin High School’s class of 1965, he was also a Vietnam veteran from the United States Air Force. Jerry Became a Town of Pulaski police officer in 1971. A hardcore Harley Davidson Enthusiast, he believed strongly in the phrase “Panheads Forever”. Throughout his life he also became a deputy for the county of Pulaski. He earned a degree in Law Enforcement, and chose to become a Rehabilitation Counselor for the Bland County Correctional Farm. However, the greatest title he ever held was being deemed Pawpaw by his 4 grandchildren. He never hesitated to give money, time, or even a meal. Whatever was needed to help someone in need. At times he would give what was his, to someone else who he thought needed it more than himself. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
