Pulaski County Kicks off Parks and Recreation Master Planning

Pulaski County has contracted with the New River Valley Regional Commission to create a Parks and Recreation Master Plan that will help guide future decisions on parks and recreation for Pulaski County. The Master Plan will identify specific needs to help maintain and improve the County’s public parks and recreation programs and facilities for the next ten to twenty years.

Public input is very important to the master planning process, so a survey was created to allow citizens and parks users to provide feedback at the beginning of the project. A link to the parks and recreation survey is available online on the County website www.pulaskicounty.org and on the Pulaski County Facebook Page. Hardcopies of the survey are available in the Community Development Department at 143 Third Street, NW, Suite 1; Pulaski, VA 24301. In order to ensure comments are considered during the master planning process, please complete the survey by the end of September 2017.

In addition to the survey, multiple public meetings will be held as part of the master plan process in order to obtain feedback from the community over the next six months. It is anticipated that the Master Plan will be completed during the summer of 2018.
