Pulaski County Public Schools would like to announce the hiring of Ms. Elizabeth Webb as the new principal of Dublin Elementary School. She was approved by the school board at their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 11, 2017.
Ms. Webb has nine years of experience in public education as a 6th grade social studies teacher at Dublin Middle School and an assistant principal at Dublin Elementary. She has a BA in Political Science and Master of Public Administration from Virginia Tech, a MS in Educational Leadership from Radford University, and will begin work this fall to obtain a Doctor of Education degree from Virginia Tech.
Ms. Webb stated “It has been a privilege to work with the Dublin Elementary parents, faculty, staff, and students, and I look forward to continuing my work as Principal. I will do all I can to support the continued success of Dublin Elementary and its students, making it a place where students want to learn, parents want to send their children, and faculty and staff want to work. It is an honor to be a part of the DES community, and I hope to serve it well.”
“Ms. Webb has been an integral part of the academic success that the students from Dublin Elementary School have experienced over the past few years. She has a tremendous passion for improving the lives of students and enjoys broad support from the teachers and parents in the Dublin community. We are very excited to have her leading the way at DES.” said Superintendent Kevin Siers.
Ms. Webb is replacing Dr. Michael Perry, who was recently hired to be the new principal at Bath County High School. Her first official day as principal is Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
