Pulaski County Public Schools would like to announce the hiring of Ms. Amy E. Williams as the new principal of Critzer Elementary School. She was approved by the school board at their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.
Ms. Williams has over 18 years of experience in public education and has held positions that include an instructional assistant at Critzer Elementary School, elementary teacher at Check Elementary, assistant principal at Auburn Elementary School, assistant principal at Christiansburg High School, and principal at Shawsville Elementary School. She has spent the past seven years as an assistant principal at Christiansburg High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, M.S. degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and administrative certification from Radford University.
Ms. Williams stated “I am excited to return to Critzer Elementary! I look forward to supporting teachers and students as we work together to ensure everyone’s success.”

Her vast experiences in public education and proven track record of improving the educational experiences of struggling students will be a great benefit to Pulaski County. She is a solid choice to lead the extremely talented faculty and staff at Critzer Elementary and we are excited to have her on board” said Superintendent Kevin Siers.
There will be a Meet & Greet reception with Ms. Williams for students, parents, faculty and staff from 3:30-5:30 on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the Critzer cafeteria. She will begin her new position on July 1, 2017.
