14 Cougars honored on All-RR and All-Region 4D teams; Austin Gallimore Defensive Player of the Year

      Pulaski County’s 9-3 and region semi-final football team has been recognized with 14 different players receiving mentions of various honors. Three players made first team on the All River Ridge District and All Region 4D squads; kicker Broc Simpson, linebacker Austin Gallimore, and defensive back Gage Mannon. Austin Gallimore was named by vote of the league coaches the “Most Outstanding Defensive Player”’ in the River Ridge.
     Ethan Gallimore at defensive end was also named to the first team All-Region team. Other first team All-River Ridge Cougars were defensive lineman Tristan Bowden, and offensive tackles Cooper Dunnigan and Clay Phillips.
     Second team slots on the All-Region team went to defensive lineman Will Bishop, Bowden, linebacker Luke Russell, defensive back Chris Shay, punt returner Logan Burchett, and Dunnigan at offensive tackle.
    Named to the second team All-River Ridge were Zeke Surber in the defensive line, Ethan Gallimore at defensive end, and Shay in the secondary.  Chayton Rollins at defensive end, Russell at linebacker, and Corvin Carter in the secondary received honorable mention. Surber on the defensive front, and Carter in the secondary received honorable mention on the all-region team.
     Dresean Kendrick of E.C. Glass was the All Region “Offensive Player of the Year,” and Holden Fretz of Glass was the all-region “Defensive Player of the Year.”
