Obituary for Jacqueline Anne Myers Spence

Jacqueline Anne Myers Spence, age 84 of Pulaski passed away Friday at the Pulaski Health Care Center. Born September 19, 1938 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Wilson Myers and Elizabeth Bertie DeHart Myers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Spence, Sr., Son, Robert Lee Spence, Jr., Daughter, Lisa Carol Spence Jones and her husband, Nathaniel Wayne Jones, Sr., Sister Thelma Bryant and Brother, Joe Myers.

 

Jackie was retired from the Pulaski Health Care Center where she worked within the kitchen, preparing food and serving it to the residents. She was a member of the Pulaski Church of God.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and helped care for her grandson, Nathan for 27 years. Jackie was known by many, she walked most everywhere she went until she was unable and then resided at Pulaski Health Care Center. She always had smile and kind word for everyone. She read her bible and did her devotions daily. Some of her last words before being unable to speak, she was praising her Lord on her death bed.

Grandson – Nathan Jones

 

Brother – Fred Wilson Myers & wife, Diane – Dublin

 

Sister – Carol Roark & husband, Robert – Pulaski

 

Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

 

 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. August 15, 2023 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Donald Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
