Obituary for Faye Moore Meade Patterson

On Friday, September 15, 2023, Faye Moore Meade Patterson, age 87, went to be with our Lord. She was born July 22, 1936, and was one of seven children born to the late Shafter and Edna Chinault Moore in Pulaski. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church in Draper. Before retiring, she was a faithful employee of Volvo Trucks North America in Dublin. Faye was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Faye will be remembered for her generosity, quick wit, humor, and homemade meals and desserts which she shared with family, friends, and church members. Faye also loved to embroider and share her craft with others.

She joins in heaven her husband, Chaffin C. “Pat” Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Shafter (Junior) Moore, James (Jack) Moore, Mary Jane Mabry, Charlotte Underwood, and Martha Cox, as well as stepson Chaffin C. Patterson, III and stepdaughter Mary Rumburg.

Faye is survived by her three beloved sons left to cherish her memory, Gary (Vicky) Meade of Dublin, Terry (Bob Price) Meade of Glendale, Kentucky, Keith (Robin) Meade of Dublin and three stepdaughters, Peggy (David) Cline, Patricia Hasson, Cheyerl Carbajal.

She is also survived by her twin sister, Eula Mae (Littlen) Jones of Dublin, three grandchildren, Bryan Meade of Wytheville, Meridith Ayers of Wytheville, Whitney (Jacob) French of Draper, two stepgrandchildren Bart (Karen) Hodges of Roanoke and Amanda (Adam) Flint of Christiansburg along with four great-grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Aaron, Jessah, and step-great grandchild, Avery. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Norris Funeral Servies, Pulaski Chapel located at 815 Randolph Avenue with Bobby Osbourne officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 12 to2 with the service beginning at 2:00. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski
