Edith Webb Fuqua

Edith Webb Fuqua was born to the union of the late Moses and Virginia Webb on February 23, 1931. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the age of 92. Edith is one of the last girls of 14 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Moses and Virginia Webb; four brothers, Samuel, Moses Jr., Robert, and David; seven sisters, Mary Bruce, Elizabeth Tyler, Della Rembrandt, Arvella Smith, Yvonne Black, Dreama Curbean, Margaret Thompson. She was married to the late Boyd Fuqua, and had two children, Steve Webb and Sue Ellen Webb.  Edith is survived by one granddaughter, Timika Webb Hamilton, two great-grandsons, Timir and Khiri Summers; three brothers, Clarence Webb (Dublin, VA), Alvin Webb (Jersey City, NJ), James “Jim” Webb (Cleveland, OH); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A homegoing service was held at Anderson Funeral Home Chapel at 6:30pm on Tuesday, October 3 in New Brunswick, NJ.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 7 at Pinehurst Cemetery, Pulaski, VA.
