Emily Rebbecca Hodge Bowman

Emily Rebbecca Marshall Hodge Bowman, age 85, of Galax, Virginia and formerly of Laurel Fork, passed away Saturday November 18, 2023. Emily was born in Wythe County, Virginia to Clarence Burnard and Lillie Blanch Viers Marshall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Garner Franklin Bowman; sister Mary Sue Marshall Willard; and brother Clarence Buress (Hero) Marshall, Jr.

Emily is survived by her sister Phyllis Jean Allen of Barren Springs, Virginia; daughters Sandra Rebbecca Williams of Red Oak, Texas, Tammy Regina Nielsen of Dallas, Texas; and son Ricky Everett Hodge of Corpus Christi, Texas. Also surviving are grandchildren Joshua Everett Hodge, Hannah Jannell Yeaney, Brandon Marshall Nielsen, Russell Le’Wayne Williams, Trevor Jessie Nielsen; great-grandchildren Zachary Ayden Yeaney, Jessie Jannell Yeaney, Ryder Alexander Yeaney, Riley Robertson, Raydin Angela Williams, Irys Deanna Williams, and Deacan Wayne Williams.

There will there be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date.
