Helen Marie Keen

HELEN MARIE KEEN, 83, of Dublin, VA went to be with the Lord she loved and served faithfully on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Lewis Gale Hospital  Montgomery. She was born January 15, 1940 in Red Ash, VA, the daughter of the late Charlie & Anna Goodman.

Helen was a devout Christian who was never afraid to profess her religion to those she met. She was a member of the Pulaski Church of God. She loved going to church. She loved singing and proudly joined award winning gospel singer Jody Whittaker for many stops on his schedule.

Helen was a loving woman and would go out of her way to help people. She enjoyed being a caregiver. She loved children and loved babysitting.  She collected baby dolls.

Helen overcame many trials on this Earth but lived every day filled with love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pastor Charlie Hugh & Anna Lee Marshall Goodman, her husband of 58 years, Paul Eugene Keen, Sr., a grandson, Allen Brickles, her brother and sisters-in-law, Ellis & Doris Goodman and Edna Goodman and her brother-in-law, James Prescott.

Left to cherish her memory are her son & daughter-in-law, Paul, Jr. & Joyce A. Keen; her grandson, Kevin, Sr. & Laura Yoders; her great-grandson, Kevin Yoders, Jr.; her brothers & sisters-in-law, Jimmy Goodman, Sammy & Lana Goodman and Tina Johnson; her sister, Lois Prescott; a special friend, Dorothy (“Dot”) Albert and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate with Bro. Dale Akers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until service time, 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
