Mt. Airy woman dies in Carroll County motorcycle crash
Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Friday (April 4, 2024) at 4:45 p.m. on Lightning Ridge Road in Carroll County.
A 1996 Honda GL 1500 SE ½ was heading eastbound on Lightning Ridge Road when it went off the right side of the road at the intersection with Hunters Path. The motorcycle then struck a guardrail and overturned.
The rider, Pamela R. Harrellson, 73, of Mount Airy, N.C., died at the scene. She was wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation.

Why should it not be investigated because of her age? She was 73 and still riding a motorcycle, sounds like one h=!! of a woman to me, so she could’ve had another good 20 years or more of life in her had she not crashed. Just because some people waste their lives shoving fast food down their throats and sitting on their lazy a$$ in front of a screen and likely won’t live to even see 73 doesn’t mean that’s how everyone else lives.

Every death should be investigated period end of story. Things are not always what they seem and yess def bad a$$ still riding at 73! My boss is 88 and I could see her doing something like this at 73 for sure.

I have been riding for 58 years. My reflexes are not what they were when I was young, but, I ride with more wisdom now. All accidents need to be investigated. Your comment was unnecessary and a little mean. Please do the right thing and remove it.
