Paddy Vaughn Sisk Ratcliffe

Paddy Vaughn Sisk Ratcliffe, 91, passed peacefully on December 1, 2025. Loved by everyone who knew her, she was an angel in every sense – kind, gentle and full of grace.
Paddy spent 42 years as a nurse at Pulaski Hospital and continued serving her community for 15 more years as a volunteer. Her compassion touched countless lives.
As the matriarch of her family, she was always ready to listen, forgive and offer wise, heartfelt advice. Her strength, love, and warmth held her family together. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy of kindness will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy ‘Jammer’ Ratcliffe, and her daughter, Kathy Farris. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Rupe of Pulaski, Sharon Burke of Pulaski, and Ansie Burnette of Pulaski.
Her cherished grandchildren include Chuck Burnette of Hillsville; Chastity (Mark) Lawson of Radford; Michael (Laura) Rupe of Knoxville TN; Chris Farris of Lynchburg; Jamie (Heather) Rupe of Harrisonburg; Dalisha (Dusty) East of Pulaski; Homer (Jessie) Jones of Pulaski; Demetria (Barry) Altizer of Pulaski; and Maddie (Madyson) Ratcliff of Fort Worth TX. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and numerous close family friends.
Services will be held at a later date.

I met Paddy when I was a volunteer at the hospital in Pulaski. She was so full of life and love, friendship, and all the wonderful things I would wish to be like. She never forgot me and I certainly never forgot her. I loved Paddy so much. I am so sorry for her family and friends to lose such a remarkable and loving lady. Sending my deepest condolences and prayers for all.

Patty and my mother(Erma Hall Swain Bogle) were in nursing school together, graduating in 1953. She was a wonderful nurse.

I worker with Paddy for around 15 years at Pulaski Hospital and I have to say she was a great nurse and person. I also knew and worked with Jammie for many years. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and I know Paddy will be missed by many.

Patricia, so very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I have very fond memories of her when visiting her home. She was a very caring and kind lady. My prayers are with you and the family.

Sweet dear Paddy. I met her as a teenager when I went to work at old hospital. She was patient and kind. Taught me a lot. I am so sorry Chasity for your family’s loss. She was the greatest example of a Christian lady always. I know she will missed by all who knew her. Love Jennifer and Jim

I met Paddy at hospital and I loved her at first sight. She was a kind and gentle woman. The world was a better place because of Paddy. She will be greatly missed. Prayers, hugs and love to her family.

My mom worked with Paddy for 40 years at the hospital and I have known and loved her my entire life. She truly was an angel. She was the true definition of a Christian and I am proud to have known her and call her my friend. Prayers for the family. Tim Crouse
