Ibry Lee Dalton

Ibry Lee Dalton, one of the world’s best Daddy’s and Pa’s finished his earthly journey of 88 years, Saturday – January 17, 2026 at his home. He fought multiple health issues bravely without complaint, teaching us lessons in patience and faith. He loved God, his wife, family and friends deeply in that order.
Born November 4, 1937 in Pulaski County to the late Lowman James Dalton & Elsie Virginia Brown Dalton, he grew up in the small community of Mountain View. He entered the USAF in 1955 and proudly served for 13 years, with tours in Japan, Greenland, Taiwan, Vietnam, and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
After leaving the military, he and his family moved back to his hometown where he worked at multiple jobs, meeting many people. He enjoyed refinishing furniture, woodworking and attending auctions in his spare time.
He was also preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law Amelia “Toot” (Frank) Salyers and Polly (Sidney) Parker.

Great Grandchildren – Addie, Emily, Morgan, Gavin, Maddie and Kaitlyn
Brother – Mike (Lucy) Dalton – Roanoke
Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 a.m., January 23, 2026 in the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin where he will receive full military honors.
The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the Bower Funeral Home.
