Garfield Goad

Garfield Goad, age 86 of Pulaski, died Friday, August 7, 2026 at Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 13, 1940 in Dugspur, and was the son of the late Dollie E. Goad and the late Winston W. Goad. He was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry in Radford.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kelly Goad; sister, City (Sis) Boyer; brother, Luther (Skip) Goad; half-sisters, June Moore and Estelle Dickenson and half-brothers, Lonnie Warden and Alonzo Warden.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Elizabeth Goad; brother, Linford Goad; sons, Robbie (Valerie) Goad and Doug (Sandra) Goad and daughter-in-law, Denise Goad. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richie (Cierra) Goad, Grant (Brittany) Goad, Lucas Goad, Evan Whattley, Lilly Whattley, Rick Whitaker and Ryan Whitaker; Great-grandchildren, Colt Goad and Lorelai Reeves.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt and special thank you to the staff of Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation for the loving care, compassion, and kindness they showed Garfield during the last few months of his life. Your dedication and care brought comfort to Garfield and meant so much to his family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with Pastor Richie Goad officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral service in Oakwood Cemetery.
