The Birds of 1967 Pulaski High School class members from 8th grade (1963) class members to the graduation date of 1967. Regardless, if you made it to the year 1967 or not you are a Bird of 67. Reunion Date is 22 May 2027. If you have received an email (our email list is dated) please respond to the announcement of our spring class reunion 2027. The Pulaski County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution meets every first Monday at Wilderness Road Regional Museum in Newbern, Va. at 1 p.m. For more information contact Chapter Regent Suzanne Bledsoe at 276-733-9761. DHS Breakfast
The Dublin High School breakfast for DHS alumni and friends meets every first Wednesday at the Dublin Lions Club. USED-BOOK SALE:
On Friday, October 2nd, from 9 to 5, and on Saturday, October 3rd, from 10 – 2, in the little red bookshop behind the Wythe County Public Library, 300 E. Monroe St., Wytheville, the well-attended book sales are continuing. All are welcome! Come and browse and take home some good reads!

Bingo
VFW Auxiliary will host quarter Bingo Saturday October 3rd at the Ruritan club building on Jefferson Ave Pulaski VA. 11am to 2pm. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Everyone welcome. Come on out and join us. This will be our last bingo of the year. Thanks for all the support throughout the years. Hope to see you again next year.
60th Reunion for DHS Class of ’66
The Dublin High School Class of 1966 is celebrating its 60th Class Reunion on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Thornspring Golf Course and Event Center, 4360 Country Club Drive, Pulaski, VA 24301.
We will enjoy a social hour from 4-5 pm with dinner served at 5:OO pm. The cost is $25 single and $50 per couple. Blessing of the Animals
Bring your pet, leashed or in a carrier, to Jackson Park on Sunday October 4. Starting at 2PM, we will be having a Blessing of the Animals in honor of St Francis. GRaPeJAM Info Meeting
GRaPeJAM (Greater Pulaski Junior Appalachian Musicians) will launch its 2026–27 program with an informational meeting on Monday, October 5, at 4:00 p.m. at Valley Harvest Ministries, 1 Harvest Place, Dublin, VA. Students in grades 4 and up who want to learn banjo, fiddle, guitar, or mandolin are invited to attend with a parent or guardian. The program teaches traditional old-time and bluegrass music in a welcoming community setting and will provide a loaner instrument. For additional information or questions, call 540-577-5917.

HORTICULTURAL HELP
On Saturday, October 10th, and Sunday, October 11th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at the Bland County Festival of Leaves, 31 Fairgrounds Road, Bland, VA, the Wythe Bland Region Master Gardener Association will be having a horticultural help desk booth and providing information about gardening and also apple varieties along with pruning and collecting grafting wood (scion) for starting new apple trees in the early spring. Everyone is welcome to stop by to ask questions about their gardening concerns. Stop by our booth! We would love to talk with you!

Senior Appreciation Day
Senior Appreciation Day will be held Sunday, Oct. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at River of Life Church, 5311 Black Hollow Road, Dublin. Internationally known evangelist David Ring will be our special guest speaker. Seniors, their families, children, and grandchildren are warmly invited to join us for this special service honoring the senior adults in our community.

PLANT-BASED COOKING SCHOOL:
Monday, October 12th, at 6:30 pm, at the Wytheville SDA Church, 1600 Chapman Rd, Wytheville. Come and join us as we are learning ways to prevent, reverse, and/or improve pre-diabetes and type II diabetes one bite at a time in a simple, delicious way. First Annual Super Senior Christian Conference
The conference will feature David Ring, the Rogers Family Southern Gospel group, and presentations from local police and fire departments addressing senior safety and community awareness. The conference will also provide opportunities for fellowship, spiritual encouragement, and information about resources available to seniors. There is no conference registration charge. Registration is required because space is limited. Lunch will be available for $15 per day, and you can reserve it at the time of registration.

Sons of Confederate Veterans
The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Stuart Horse Artillery Camp 1784 will meet on Thursday, October 15, 7pm at the NRV Superbowl on 375 Arbor Drive NE in Christiansburg. First Baptist Church 4-night Fall Revival
First Baptist Church will sponsor a “4-night Fall Revival” October 21-24 at 7:00 p.m. nightly. Pastor Justin Phillips of Allisonia Holiness Church will deliver the message on October 21, Pastor Perry Slaughter of Valley Harvest Ministries on October 22, Pastor Delores Caldwell of Power of Deliverance Holiness Church on October 23, and Pastor Gary Hash of Jubilee Christian Center on October 24. All are invited and encouraged to come out and attend the revival services to be refreshed, revived, and restored in the Lord. First Baptist Church is located at 220 Magazine Street, Pulaski where Rev. Douglas Patterson is the host pastor.

Heritage Cares Food still distributing food
Heritage Cares Food Pantry at Heritage Church is still distributing food on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The church is located a half-mile past the New River Valley Airport on Route 100 North of Dublin.
