Apartment building that had caught fire over a year ago being torn down

An apartment building at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Third Street in Pulaski that had been damaged over a year ago by fire is being torn down today.
Fire broke out in the building back on the afternoon of April 30, 2025.
It appeared the fire was on the top floor of the apartment building.
Firefighters from the Pulaski and Dublin fire departments were on the scene and were assisted by firefighters from Draper and Newbern. Pulaski County Fire and Rescue also assisted as did Pulaski Police Department, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Pulaski County Emergency Management and Pulaski County Joint 9-1-1 Communications Center and the American Red Cross.
Firefighters were able to rescue one person and several animals from the building with the injured person being transported to a local hospital.
Reports are 12 people were displaced from the apartment building due to the blaze.
