Back to School Movie Night, Pack the Bus set for Aug. 13

Pulaski County Parks & Recreation will be hosting a back to school movie night on Saturday, August 13th at Randolph Park starting at 8:30PM.  This free event will screen the movie “Space Jam” sponsored by Hodge Insurance & Martins Pharmacy. Bring your blanket, chair, and favorite snack and enjoy the movie on the multipurpose field. A refreshment stand will also be open selling popcorn, candy, and soda. Seating for the event starts at 7:30PM.

We plan to have a bus from Pulaski County Public Schools on site to “pack the bus” for school supplies to start the 2022-2023 academic year. Below you will see a list of school supplies being requested for donation:

  • Pencils
  • Pens
  • Boxes of Tissues
  • Storage Bags (quarts & gallons)
  • Liquid hand soaps
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Glue Sticks
  • Glue Bottles
  • Lysol Wipes
  • Scissors
  • Colored Pencils
  • Notebook Paper
  • Pocket Folders
  • Dividers
  • (2 Inch) Binders
  • (1 Inch) Binders
  • Spiral Notebooks
  • Page Protectors
  • Highlighters
  • One-Subject Composition Books
  • Dry erase markers
  • Pencil Pouches

All of these supplies will be divided equally and distributed to all of the schools in Pulaski County. Please feel free to drop your supplies by the bus before you head to the movie. If you can’t make it to the movie, still feel free to stop by Randolph Park at 5100 Alexander Road to donate school supplies for our classrooms. The bus will be open for donations from 10:00AM – 10:00PM on Saturday, August 13, 2022.
