Branco named new Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for county

Dina M. Branco has been named the new Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for Pulaski County.

Commonwealth’s Attorney Justin Griffith made the announcement Monday.

“I am proud to formally announce that Dina M. Branco is the new Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for Pulaski County. She will continue in that leadership position after the election. She will be the direct supervisor of five Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorneys. Ms. Branco has been a stalwart prosecutor for this office for over a decade. Her radiant personality has been infectious in the courtroom since the very beginning of her career,” Griffith stated in a press release.

Griffith added the numerous accommodation letters she has received over the years speaks volumes for the work she has accomplished.

“For example, in Commonwealth v. Underwood she demonstrated outstanding effort in researching all the facts and was tenacious in her prosecution for this County. The citizens of Pulaski County were the beneficiaries of her dedication to justice in that case,” Griifth continued.

He noted a Chief Deputy must be someone that the Commonwealth’s Attorney sees as a leader within the office and trust implicitly to always do the right thing.

“Make no mistake, Ms. Branco fits those needs and more. This county is blessed to have her and her promotion is another example of how this County is served by the best,” Griffith said.
