Candidates Forum set for tonight ahead of Thursday primary

The Republican Party of the City of Radford is excited to host a virtual candidate’s forum for the Republicans who are running to replace the late Ben Chafin as Virginia State Senator representing the 38th District.

The event will be hosted on our party’s Facebook page: Radford City Republicans, tonight at 7 PM and will be moderated by Radford City Councilman Forrest Hite.

A Party Canvass (“party-run primary”) will be held at the locations listed below beginning at 1:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2021 for the purpose of nominating a Republican candidate to run for the Virginia State Senate from the 38th District. The primary winner will be running in the special election on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

Anyone is entitled to vote if your are registered to vote in the 38th State Senatorial District and you are a Republican and are prepared to verify such in writing. You also must present a government issued ID.
