On June 21, 2026, Cecil’s Chapel Church had the honor of hosting representatives from the 40th Masonic District to recognize St. John the Baptist day, which is June 24th.

This day honors the birth of St. John the Baptist.  This significant Christian observance marks the prophet’s role as the forerunner of Jesus Christ. The opening message, provided by Worshipful Master of Henry Clay Lodge in Dublin, VA, Dekota Burton, provided an educational overview of John the Baptist’s life.  He emphasized the importance of the prophet to creating the foundation of the mission of the Masonic Lodge. The motto of the Lodge is:  Faith, Hope and Charity.

His message fit perfectly with Pastor Danny W. Collin’s sermon focusing on a purpose driven church.  We appreciate the Masons in our community and welcome others to learn more about their work and St. John’s Day.
