Wilderness Road Museum:    Wagons Ho! Traveling the Wilderness Road—1818

Children will be invited to make a covered wagon like families used to move westward along the Wilderness Road in the early 1800s. They will fashion the wagons of stiff paper and cardboard, covering the top with a tarp of tissue paper.

Scribble Night Artwork & Games:  Scribble Night is a sit down art session for kids where they can draw whatever they like. Scribble Night provides all supplies and art utensils they need to create whatever their imagination comes up with. Then at the end of the session we have on site screen printing where we take their final master piece and print it on a shirt for keepsake for a charge of $15 for children and $20 for adults.

What a fun time for children on June 9th.

The festival begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends with fireworks at dusk.  Entertainment begins at 11:00 am and will continue until the fireworks and entertainment resumes for about 1 hour after the fireworks.

Entry to the Festival is free, however there is a $10 parking fee or you may pay $5 and bring 5 cans of food.  The food is collected by Boy Scout Troup 249 and stays locally.

The Festival Committee suggests you come early, stay late and enjoy a great day at Claytor Lake State Park.  We hope you have a wonderful day at this year’s festival.
