“Our No. 3 singles, Aaron Bennet was out of the country watching his brother Adam play soccer in England, but we were able to pull off a shorthanded 5-4 victory in 40-degree weather,” said Coach Chad Graham.

As expected, Camden Hite won his singles match and doubles match with partner Xander Pratt, Graham added.

“Tonight was Eli Duke’s first match playing at the fourth seed. Zach Gallimore won his fifth seed match. The most exciting match was the No. 3 doubles in which Mark Graham and Ashton Paul sealed the team’s win by winning four straight games to win their match 9-7 after being down 5-7 at the end of the cold night.

“The match was ended with a Mark Graham slam at the net.

“I wish we had recorded Ashton’s effort and newly acquired skills in a pivotal point in one of the comeback games when he stretched in all directions to return four great shots by Salem. Another match to note was Xander Pratt who won his tiebreaker in Singles.”

Pulaski’s next match is April 28 at Christiansburg.
