The Pulaski County girls basketball team opened the Boo Williams Holiday Tournament in Hampton with a big win Thursday, knocking off previously undefeated Menchville, 59-56. The win pushed the Cougar girls to 3-3 on the season, and Menchville fell to 7-1.
Pulaski County led almost the entire way, but the game was never put away until the final moments. There was never a double digit lead in the game by either team. The  Cougars were led by Ally Fleenor who was strong inside with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
But it was a balanced effort by PCHS who put four players in double figures. Paige Huff scored 12, Maddie Ratcliff 11, and Erin Russell 10. Keslyn Secrest added five, Kassidy Secrest three, and Taryn Blankenship saw her first action of season coming off knee injury and put a marker on the board.
