Cougar girls fall by 17 to Spotswood

     After coming off a strong third place finish in the “Boo Williams Holiday Tournament” in Hampton last week, the Pulaski County girls took one on the chin at Spotswood last night, 58-41. Spotswood is a Class 3 school located in the Penn Laird community of Rockingham County next to the Massanutten mountains.
     Spotsy led all the way and is now 6-2 on the season while Pulaski County fell to 4-5. The Cougars are involved in a four-team affair and faced Wilson Memorial Friday.
     Stephanie Ouderkirk led the Trailblazers with 17 points and Lexi Horton finished with 13, and Abby Farmer 12. The Cougar girls’ effort was led by Paige Huff and Keslyn Secrist who both scored 10. Maddie Ratcliff added nine, but no other Cougar scored more than four.
