Cougar Golfers Finish Regular Season 

PCHS golfer finished off the regular season Monday at Hunting Hills CC in Roanoke.  The rain made for a long day, but the Cougars showed great patience, as all 6 golfers shot 80 or better.

Pulaski County was led by Will Rackaway with a 75, Evan Singleton and Evan Clark both shott 77’s, Cayden Mines shot 78, Conner Whitaker shot 79 and Boone Blevins shot 80. The team score of 307 was only good enough for 5th place in the always tough RRD.

Will Rackaway and Evan Singleton were both named to the RRD 2nd team for their fine regular seasons.

Coach Hanks reflecting on the day and the regular season, “Very proud of all the guys today. That course is very tight and when you dump an hour of rain on it right in the middle of the match, it made conditions tougher.  I think it affected some of our scores, but all 42 golfers had to put up with the same conditions, so it’s not worth worrying about.  Hopefully we continue to trend in the right direction for Regionals.  The regional tournament is once again going to be at Draper GC and I like our team on that course.  We have plenty of fire power to do what we did 2 years ago-win the thing! “
