Cougars beat Radford in softball, 3-2

cougar pawPulaski County took the lead late and defeated Radford 3-2 on Thursday.

The game was tied at two with PCHS batting in the top of the sixth when Tori Vest grounded out, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Laken Greever struck out 12 for the Lady Cougars.

Radford opened up scoring in the first inning, scoring two runs.

In the top of the fourth inning, Pulaski County tied things up at two when Greever drew a walk, scoring one run.

Greever was the winning pitcher for Pulaski County. The righty allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking zero.

Pulaski County collected seven hits. Paige Huff and Emily Webb each had multiple hits for PCHS. Webb and Huff each managed two hits to lead Pulaski County.
