PEARISBURG – Delegate Jason Ballard (R-Pearisburg) announced on Tuesday that he  will be  running for a second term in the House of Delegates.

Following redistricting, Del. Ballard will be running in the newly formed 42nd Legislative District that serves Giles County, the City of Radford and parts of Pulaski and Montgomery counties.

“I am incredibly proud of the work that we have accomplished thus far,” said Del. Ballard. “In just two years, I have championed tax cuts, protected the Second Amendment, funded our police, and defended the unborn.

“After 9/11 I made the decision to serve my country and protect our freedom abroad. After four tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, my love for God and country only grew stronger. It was through my military service that I was inspired to bring my fight home to protect Virginia’s values and fight for every resident of the Commonwealth,” said Del. Ballard.

“In the coming days and weeks our campaign will announce key endorsements testifying to the work that we have done and supporting my vision for a better Virginia.  Our work is just getting started and I look forward to continuing our fight to defend conservative Virginia values.”

“Just as it has been an honor to serve my country in the U.S. Army, it has been an honor to serve my Commonwealth in the House of Delegates,” Ballard added.
