Dollar Tree in Pulaski moving to old Rite Aid location
The Town of Pulaski is getting a new Dollar Tree.
The Patriot spoke to Kathy Paschal, a manager at the current Dollar Tree in Memorial Square Shopping Center who confirmed that store would be moving to the new larger location in the former Rite Aid building on East Main Street.
The new location is due to open June 1.
For the past week there has been a flurry of activity at the old Rite Aid location. That store has set idle since Rite Aid closed its operation there a few years ago.
Dollar Tree is a national company with thousands of stores located in shopping centers and malls in all 48 contiguous states. A new stand-alone Dollar Tree opened several months ago in Fairlawn.

I am happy as can be! Several months ago I actually called the Dollar Tree company and expressed my concern for our current Dollar Tree location and how other towns had beautiful new stores with lots of space and many more products. I really laid out the picture plainly about how our store was crammed between other stores while other places had stand-alone stores, and I also spoke about the odor when a person enters the current store, probably because of the old carpet on which they must pour some kind of deodorant. Other stores have more cleanable floors. I also told them that our store is used by everyone because we have no Walmart or other such stores in our town and thus we should have a nice, large building!
I am soooo happy about this! You see – it does matter when we let our opinions be known to companies in a polite way!
Yay!

I really hope they expand the craft section. The only place around here is Walmart which doesn’t have much. We need to drive into Christiansburg to purchase craft items.
