Douglas (Chuck) Wayne Mooney

Douglas (Chuck) Wayne Mooney, 83, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026.
Born on March 10, 1943, in Pulaski, Virginia, Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. During his military career, he and his family were stationed in Italy, Spain, and Germany before making Vancouver, Washington their permanent home upon his retirement.
Chuck was an active member of Club Green Meadows, where he found a lifelong passion for golf. He also enjoyed playing tennis, but nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Sekul) Mooney; his children, Doug Mooney, Kim (Mooney) Stringfellow, and Pat Mooney; his cherished grandchildren, Taylor Mooney, Emma Mooney, Olivia Stringfellow, Sam Stringfellow, Bridget Mooney, Avery Mooney, and Finley Mooney; his brothers, Ronnie Mooney and Mike Mooney; and his sister, Geraldine Craig.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Green Mooney and Hazel Mooney; and his sisters, Beatrice Draper, Verlon Hurd, and Alberta Dalton.
Chuck’s love for his family, his dedicated service to his country, and his passion for the game of golf will be remembered always. His legacy of kindness, devotion, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
