Dublin’s American Legion Post to hold open house

The American Legion Post of Dublin, VA officially opens their new post headquarters located at 408 E. Main Street in Dublin.  An “Open House” will be held on Wednesday, February 20th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The members of Henry Clay Lodge #280 donated the use of their building’s first floor to the A.L. Post for their official headquarters.  Renovations of the facility began last October with most of the cost and labor provided by members of the American Legion Post.

Dan Gordon, the Post Commander said, “we are extremely proud of the work completed on our new headquarters and invite the public to come visit our open house.”

The Dublin A.L. post participates in community events including the July 4th and Christmas parades in Dublin, visitations to veterans who reside in retirement and rehab facilities, elementary school flag presentations and Honor Guard ceremonies at the SW Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.

The members and spouses of the A.L. post will provide non-alcoholic drinks and snacks during the open house.  The public can obtain more information by calling Emil Moldovan at (540) 674-0684.  Parking is located at the rear of the building next to the United Methodist Church of Dublin, VA.
