Pulaski River Turtles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-6 loss to Burlington Sock Puppets on Sunday. Burlington Sock Puppets scored on a walk by Oscar Serratos, a walk by Maui Ahuna, a double by Caleb Farmer, and a single by Luke Folsom in the first inning.
Despite the loss, Pulaski River Turtles did collect six hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Burlington Sock Puppets had ten hits on the way to victory.
Burlington Sock Puppets fired up the offense in the first inning, when Serratos drew a walk, scoring one run.
Pulaski River Turtles notched four runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from home runs by Tommy Woods and Miles Smith.
#45 led the Burlington Sock Puppets to victory on the hill. The righthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking one. Bryson Hammer threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Liam Reynolds took the loss for Pulaski River Turtles. The righthander lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing five hits and six runs.
Trevor Nanney started the game for Burlington Sock Puppets. Nanney surrendered four runs on three hits over one inning, striking out one
