Early Lead For Burlington Sock Puppets Seals Fate For Pulaski River Turtles
Pulaski River Turtles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-6 loss to Burlington Sock Puppets on Sunday. Burlington Sock Puppets scored on a walk by Oscar Serratos, a walk by Maui Ahuna, a double by Caleb Farmer, and a single by Luke Folsom in the first inning.
Despite the loss, Pulaski River Turtles did collect six hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Burlington Sock Puppets had ten hits on the way to victory.
Burlington Sock Puppets fired up the offense in the first inning, when Serratos drew a walk, scoring one run.
Pulaski River Turtles notched four runs in the second inning. The offensive onslaught came from home runs by Tommy Woods and Miles Smith.
