Fairlawn Sewer Authority Honors Randy Miles for Decades of Community Devotion

At its August meeting on Tuesday night, the Fairlawn Sewer Authority Board of Directors presented a special Resolution of Appreciation and Recognition to long-time board member James Randall “Randy” Miles.

First appointed by the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors in April 2016, Mr. Miles is concluding a decade of distinguished service on the FSA board at the end of this month. The approved resolution honors his unwavering integrity and leadership on the board, but his impact on the Fairlawn and Pulaski County communities stretches well beyond his sewer authority service.

Mr. Miles is a lifelong member of the Fairlawn Volunteer Fire Department, where he climbed the ranks from a junior member to serve as Fire Chief from 2000 through 2024, dedicating his life to protecting local lives and property. Additionally, he has spent over 22 years safely transporting generations of local students as a school bus driver for Pulaski County Public Schools.

Dennis Setliff, FSA Chair, and Ashley Edmonds, Clerk, signed the resolution on behalf of the board, expressing deepest gratitude for Mr. Miles’ exemplary citizenship and deep devotion to his neighbors.
