Food Truck Party set for Friday at Unity Christian Church, Radford

The public is invited to a Food Truck Party on Friday, June 10 from 5-9 pm at Unity Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) located at 400 Tyler Avenue in Radford. The Food Truck Party includes a wide range of food selections and pricing options from many popular food trucks including: Cabo Fish Taco, Aloha Eddies, Hodge Podge Cookies, Lil Bit Corney and more! In addition to foods purchases, participants can enjoy music by a DJ, face painting for kids, bubble machine fun, Bingo and other games. The Lichen or Knot Plant Truck will be on site with selections of green plants to purchase. No tickets or admission charge to participate in this free event.
The Friday Food Truck Party kicks-off the church’s annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) program for children to be held on Saturday, June 11. The VBS program runs from 9 am to 3:30 pm. at the church. The schedule on Saturday includes games, outdoor activities, and includes free snacks and a lunch. VBS signups will be available at the Food Truck Party or by contacting the church’s office at unity2012@verizon.net or (540) 639-3696. Unity welcomes all area children from Pre-K to 5th Grades to attend this free one-day Vacation Bible School (VBS) program to share together as a community of faith.
The Food Truck Party and the Vacation Bible School program are part of events planned throughout 2022 in celebration of the church’s Tenth-Year Anniversary. Other events included a Birthday Service and Celebration on Sunday, January 2, 2022 with guest speakers the Virginia Region Regional Minister the Reverend Bill Spangler-Dunning of Lynchburg, Va. and the Reverend Dr. R. Wayne Calhoun, Sr. who serves as Evangelism and Congregational Transformation executive of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Indianapolis.
