Graham resigns as school boss in Radford; rumored to be headed to Pulaski County
It is being reported by other area media tonight that Radford School Superintendent Rob Graham has resigned.
The move comes amid rumors that Graham is heading across the New River and will be Pulaski County’s new superintendent.
Reports are the Radford City School Board met for about an hour and a half Tuesday evening in closed session before certifying Graham’s resignation.
According to the Roanoke Times over 100 people turned out for the meeting in support of Graham who became emotional prior to and during the meeting.
Graham, a graduate of Radford High School, began work in the school system in 2006 and became superintendent in 2015.
According to the newspaper report, Graham was recently named as Region VII Superintendent of the Year.
The resignation comes just days after rumors began to circulate in Pulaski County on social media that Graham would be hired by Pulaski County as its next superintendent to replace the departing Kevin Siers – who was recently named the new superintendent for Franklin County Schools.

I would support and herald the superintendency of Rob Graham in Pulaski County as a blessing. It appears to me that the City of Radford’s loss just might become our gain.
