Griffith Introduces Resolution Encouraging Local Decisions on School Reopening

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) issued the following statement after introducing a resolution, H.Res. 1026, urging that decisions on reopening schools be made at the local level:

“In Virginia, we recognize that conditions can vary greatly between one region or another. Last week in the Energy and Commerce Committee, Dr. Fauci and Dr. Redfield, two of our country’s leading public health officials, affirmed what our experience in Southwest Virginia shows: decisions about reopening schools should be made at the local level. Our country and our Commonwealth are too broad for one size fits all. The House should recognize these facts by passing this resolution.”
