Pulaski County’s Commonwealth’s Attorney and Sheriff are seeking re-election this year.
In a joint statement released Tuesday, Commonwealth’s Attorney Justin Griffith and Sheriff Mike Worrell announced they will seek the Pulaski County Republican Party’s nominations for their respective offices.
“Our agencies, the Pulaski County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office have publicly expressed in the past that we believe our mutual respect and the open lines of communication between our offices is one of the many positive attributes we can share with our county,” the statement reads.
“Together, we are announcing our intentions to seek the Pulaski County Republican Party nominations this year for our respective offices.
“We believe in a united pursuit of justice and we stand together in service to all of the citizens of Pulaski County. We are blessed to serve and look forward to the opportunity to continue to do so,” Griffith and Worrell said in their statement.
