Harry B. “HB” Cox Jr.

Harry B. Cox Jr., affectionately known as “HB,” passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born on August 21, 1944, to the late Harry B. Cox Sr. and Arizona Kemp Cox.

HB dedicated many years of his life to serving his community. He worked as a caretaker for Gatewood Park for many years, where he took great pride in caring for the park and helping maintain its beauty. He also worked for the Town of Pulaski Water Department, where he faithfully served his community.

HB had a passion for buying, selling, and trading firearms, an interest he enjoyed throughout his life. He was a hardworking man who will be remembered for his strong personality, his many interests, and the lasting memories he made with those around him.

HB was preceded in death by his sister, Beulah Burchett; and his brothers, Samuel H. Cox, Marcus Cox, James R. Cox, and Lee Autry Cox.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews, along with numerous other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

HB will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hufford Cemetery in Pulaski, Virginia.
