Haug named new superintendent of NRV Regional Jail

The New River Valley Regional Jail has announced the appointment of Ms. Kim Haug as the new Superintendent of the regional jail.

She will assume her new role on July 1, 2022 upon the retirement of the current Superintendent, Gregory P. Winston, after six years of service.

Ms. Haug comes to the regional jail with twenty years of law enforcement experience with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and has served for the last eleven years as Captain of the Montgomery County Jail.

The 1,183-bed New River Valley Regional Jail, located in Pulaski County, is a regional cooperative venture serving the localities of Bland County, Carroll County, Floyd County, Giles County, Grayson County, Pulaski County, Wythe County and the City of Radford.
