High Winds Bring Down Trees

Folks driving Wednesday along Route 100 north from Pulaski County into Giles County had their trips delayed for a while by trees that had fallen on the highway. Some motorists were stuck in between different trees. This tree was about 60-feet long and 2-feet in diameter.  More trees could fall tonight and tomorrow as winds and heavy rain, as well as some storms are forecast for the area. A flood watch goes into effect tonight at 8 p.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday. Danielle Reid photo
