Horse show Saturday in Fries

Fries Fire & Rescue will sponsor a horse show Saturday at the Jamie Hyatt Arena beginning at 6 p.m.

The arena is located at 56 Bainbridge Road, Fries.

Open Arena will be from 3 to 5 p.m. An award of $100 has been added in open barrels.

Admission to the event will be $5 with kids 12 and under admitted free.

Other area events coming up include: Sept. 22-24, NBHA State Championships, Lexington (several area riders entered); Sept. 23, Pine Spur Horse Show, Vinton; Sept. 29-30, Hometown Rodeo Finals, Sparta (several area riders competing); Sept. 30, Patrick Henry Fun Show, Bassett); Oct. 7, Billingsway Arena Ranch Rodeo, Crockett; Oct. 13-14, Ivanhoe Horse Show.
