Janet Elwood Scott, 72, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away on June 5, 2026. She was the daughter of the late James Holland and Geraldine Holland.

Janet was born on September 4, 1953, in Pulaski, Virginia.

Janet was a faithful member of the Spirit of Life Worship Center in Pulaski, Virginia, and she was always on the battlefield for God.

Janet retired from Radford University in Radford, Virginia.

Janet is survived by her children, Ashley Fitch ( Minister R. Fitch ) and Kwasi Scott; two bonus sons, Percell M Scott Jr. and Robert Scott; grandchildren, Darius Fitch, Jordan Fitch (Vhuthuhawe), Zion Fitch, and Halee Scott; two great grandchildren, Amato (Aj ) and Sy-Rena Fitch; two sisters, Sharon Smith (James ) and Dianne Holland; and numerous nieces ,nephews and cousins. She also leaves to cherish her memory two close friends; Teresa Williams and Gwen.

In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her husband Percell M Scott Sr; brother, Brownie Holland; and two sisters, Mary Ann Still and Margaret Roberta Holland.

A memorial service will be held for Janet on Saturday, July 25th at 1 p.m. at the T.G. Howard Community Center, 320 Altoona Road, Pulaski, Va.
