Jason Ballard Becomes Republican Nominee for House of Delegates District 12
PEARISBURG, Virginia – On Monday, March 15th at noon, the deadline passed to file for the Republican Party nomination for Delegate in House District 12. Jason Ballard was the only candidate to file and no additional applications were submitted. Jason has released the following statement in response to becoming the Republican Nominee:
“It is my distinct honor and privilege to be the Republican nominee for House District 12. Our campaign has experienced tremendous momentum since our announcement in February, and now our complete focus is on winning this election in November so Southwest Virginia can have a voice in Richmond again.
“The amazing people of the New River Valley are ready for a change because for the last 4 years their elected representative has been only focused on Northern Virginia. Once elected, I will fight for fully funding our public schools and work to provide access to broadband internet all across our region. I will support our brave law enforcement officers and defend our constitutional liberties such as the 2nd Amendment. I will be a champion for small business owners and farmers, and I will advocate for much needed infrastructure and economic growth.
“We must act now. We cannot allow 2 more years of the status quo.”
Jason is a trial lawyer with the law firm of Headley Ballard LLC and is licensed to practice law in Virginia and West Virginia. He is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army JAG Corps.
