John Henry Tinley, age 74, passed from death to eternal life on Wed Oct. 25, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Annette, and his beloved son, Ricky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Ruby Tinley and his two brothers, Jackie and Tommy. Johnnie retired from Quadrant EPP in Wytheville, Va. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Dublin, Va. Johnnie, an avid outdoorsman, loved gardening, canning and cutting wood. He will be missed by his furry sidekick, Sophie, who was his constant companion. A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., Nov. 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church located at 552 E. Main St. in Dublin, Va. The service will be officiated by Pastor Doug Testerman. The family will receive visitors at 10.a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
