Kingsport wins Appalachian League Championship

The Kingsport Ax Men defeated the Burlington Sock Puppets, 5-2 Monday night to win the 2022 Appalachian League Championship.

The title is Kingsport’s eighth Appy League crown in team history.

Kingsport’s Ryan Murphy pitched five innings and allowed only two hits and one run to get the win and was selected as the Championship game’s Most Valuable Player.
