wilson lacy daryelLacy Daryel Wilson, affectionately known as “POGO”, of Draper died on Friday, October 6, 2023, at the age of 75. Born on October 7, 1947, to the late Lacy Winfield Wilson and Leona Bostic Wilson. Also preceding him in death are two brothers, Dale and Donald Wilson, of Union West Virginia and a grandson, Brice Peve.

Pogo retired from Volvo, Dublin Virginia. He was avid golfer, hunter, bowler, and softball. Loved the outdoors, especially the woods where he enjoyed the views with peace and quiet. He enjoyed people and loved to joke and pick everywhere he went. He attended church at Open Door Baptist Church, Pulaski Virginia.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife for almost fifty-four years, Patricia Bowyer Wilson. Daughter Malena (Matt) Spraker, granddaughters Brittany (C.J) Snider of Dublin and Jackie (Anthony) Willis, also of Dublin. Great grandchildren Lacy Snider, Roen Snider, Mila Perkins, Blaze Willis and Azlee Willis. Brother Eddie (Christy) Wilson of Forest Hills, West Virginia and sister-in-law, Linda Wilson of Union, West Virginia. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Norris Funeral Services, Pulaski Chapel located at 815 Randolph Avenue in Pulaski. Visitation will begin at 1:00 followed by services at 3:00 with Pastor Kelly Howlett officiating. Interment will follow at the cemetery of the Memorial Christian Church in Draper.
